Urban Outfitters is seeking a trend-obsessed Associate Buyer who uses data and market insights to build an assortment from core essentials to viral fashion-forward pieces. You will collaborate with Buying, Planning, and Design to curate a collection that is both highly relevant and commercially successful.

The role emphasizes product development, vendor communication, and balancing quality, lead times, and value while supporting inventory planning and profitability strategies.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a buying or retail role.
• Education in fashion/merchandising or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and market insight skills to drive assortment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building a balanced and brand-appropriate assortment by analyzing customer feedback and market trends.
• Support core business categories while incorporating fashion newness and test silhouettes.
• Maintain mix of private label and branded products across categories.
• Contribute to monthly shop planning and seasonal line reviews.
• Communicate with vendors to support product development and delivery timelines.
• Help identify and onboard new suppliers and brands to enhance the product mix.
• Support Open to Buy management and inventory planning.
