Job summary

H2ajobs in the United States is seeking farm labor workers to assist with grain handling, cleaning, repairs, and post-harvest processing. You will use hand tools, operate bins and augers, and help prepare crops for transport.

Proficiency in English is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. One month of recent experience is requested. Housing and meals are provided, with occasional transportation to stores; safety gear is supplied on site.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools to sweep, clean, repair grain bins, augers and dryers.

• Inspect, grade, sort, and post-harvest treatment of crops.
• Monitor grain moisture with moisture sensors and operate drying controls.
• Load agricultural products into trucks after drying; keep bins clean.
• Follow safety protocols and wear employer-provided PPE.

Job description

Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, and repairing grain bins, augers, and dryers; Repair and maintain farm buildings, fences, and other structures as well as farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Monitor moisture levels using moisture sensors; Turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products from bins into trucks once dried; Burn and roll ground; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 1 months

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
