Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm laborer to perform manual tasks in grain handling, bin maintenance, and post-harvest work at our Texas operation. You will assist with cleaning, loading, repairing structures, and operating moisture sensors to ensure crop quality.

The role requires one month of verified experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and fluency in English. Housing and meals are provided; transportation is arranged periodically as needed.

Qualifications

• One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience is required for the listed duties.
• Must be able to obtain a valid driver’s license after hire and maintain a clean driving record.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual tasks with hand tools to sweep, load, and repair grain bins, augers, dryers, and farm structures.
• Inspect, grade, sort, and apply post-harvest treatment to crops as assigned.
• Monitor moisture using sensors and adjust drying through levers/knobs.
• Load agricultural products into trucks and transport to market or storage facilities.
• Work in dusty conditions and inside grain bins as required; follow safety protocols.

Job description

Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, and repairing grain bins, augers, and dryers; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures as well as farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Monitor moisture levels using moisture sensors in the scale house; Turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks and drive to market or storage facilities; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment. Must speak and understand English.

• Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
• Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
