Job summary

H2ajobs is hiring for an outdoor agricultural laborer to inspect, grade, sort, and post-harvest crops. You will use hand tools to prepare grain, load shipments, and drive to market while adhering to safety protocols in dusty grain-bin environments.

The role requires one month of recent experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and English proficiency. Employer-provided housing and meals are available; transportation to grocery stores is provided periodically, with potential drug testing if

Responsibilities

• Inspect, grade, sort, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops.
• Use hand tools for auguring, scooping, turning levers and knobs to dry grain.
• Load agricultural products into trucks without over/under filling and transport to market.
• Work in dusty conditions and inside grain bins with safety equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in random drug testing if required.

Job description

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms for duties such as auguring grain, scooping grain, turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or under filling and drive to market or storage facilities; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
