H2ajobs in Kansas seeks a farm laborer to care for cattle and farm animals, performing feeding, handling, and routine care.

You will maintain animal records, assist in births, apply medications, and move livestock with trucks or equipment; housing and meals are provided.

Must have at least 3 months experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and pass a drug test; English required.

Competenze

• 3 months experience in animal care or relevant farm work.

• Must obtain a valid drivers license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test per workplace policy.

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Halter break and groom; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock and feed from one location to another manually or using trucks, skid steer, front end loader, cart; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Provide mineral to cattle grazing corn stalks; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
