Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a farm laborer to attend to live animals, feed and water, and perform related duties. The role includes housing provided by the employer and meals facilities for workers to prepare their own meals. You may receive weekly transportation support to stores for groceries when cooking facilities are provided.

Six months of recent, verifiable experience is required. You must lift up to 50 lbs, be able to obtain a valid driver's license, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Attend to live farm animals and assist with feeding and watering.
• Provide winter care, monitor feed and water supplies, and perform chores.
• Repair fences, gates, and corrals as needed and drive equipment to distribute feed.
• Follow safety rules; may be subject to random drug testing after hire.

Job description

Attend to live farm animals such as horses, donkey, stocker cattle (primarily steers) to assist with duties such as feeding, watering, providing winter care, processing, doctoring; Break ice in watering facilities; Monitor feed and water supplies; Test soil and map areas; Drive equipment to distribute feed to animals and perform drainage work; Level areas and remove debris, snow, ice, or manure as needed; Repair fences, equipment, gates, and corrals. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 6 months

Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
