Job summary

H2ajobs in Headrick, OK, is seeking a worker to assist in livestock production. You will examine animals for illness, monitor growth, feed and water, and maintain housing and equipment.

This role requires physical ability, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver's license after hire. Housing and meals are provided; weekly transport to stores is arranged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease and monitor weight gain.

• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment with disinfectants and tools.
• Move livestock and equipment between locations and operate related vehicles.
• Inspect and repair facilities such as buildings, pens, and fences.

Job description

Worker will be needed to assist with the production of livestock such as cattle. Job duties include: Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps. Segregate animals according to weight, age, color, and physical condition. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals. Move equipment or livestock from one location to another, manually or using trucks or carts. Inspect, maintain, and repair, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
