Job summary

H2ajobs on-site farm labor role seeks a hands-on worker to care for cattle and other livestock. You will feed, water, herd, and monitor health as part of daily duties, including moving animals between areas and maintaining records.

Duties include castration, branding, catching, loading animals, and administering medications as needed. Employer-provided housing, meals, and transportation conveniences support on-site work.

Qualifications

• One month of recent and verifiable experience required for the listed duties.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must obtain a valid driver’s license following hire and maintain a clean driving record.
• Be prepared to take a drug test if required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Attend to live farm and ranch animals, including cattle.
• Feed, water, herd, graze, castrate, brand, catch and load animals.
• Maintain records on animals and move livestock between locations.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate.
• Clean and maintain animal housing areas and provide mineral to cattle.
• Break ice in watering facilities.

Job description

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Provide mineral to cattle grazing wheat pasture; Break ice in watering facilities.

Meals:

Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
