Job summary

H2ajobs in North Dakota is seeking a Farmworker, Livestock to assist in cattle care and related duties on a seasonal basis. Responsibilities include feeding, watering, herding, loading, hay hauling, and maintaining pastures and pens.

Housing is employer-provided with kitchen facilities; meals can be prepared in the provided housing. Transportation to grocery stores is arranged. Must be 18+, able to lift up to 75 lbs, and available for the entire period.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No prior farmwork experience required.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, and performing manual tasks.
• Must be able to obtain legal US work authorization.
• Weekend/holiday work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Attend to cattle and perform feeding, watering, herding, catching, and loading.
• Haul hay and manage pasture rotation; monitor health and vaccinate when needed.
• Operate farm equipment and maintain pens, fences, and manure handling.
• Maintain administrative records as required for SOC/OES 45-2093.

Duties may include: Attend to cattle. Duties may include feeding, watering, herding, catching, and loading. Hauling hay. Precondition and maintain cattle: Hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate, rotate cattle between pastures. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens. Maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market. Maintain administrative records & other related Farmworker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections.All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the pl... Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 75lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.
