Job description

Duties may include: Attend to cattle. Duties may include feeding, watering, herding, catching, and loading. Hauling hay. Precondition and maintain cattle: Hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate, rotate cattle between pastures. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens. Maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market. Maintain administrative records & other related Farmworker, Livestock activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

• Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
• Meals: The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections.All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.
• Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the pl... Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Variable weather conditions may apply.
