Job summary

Hertz Farm Management, Inc. seeks a Professional Farm Manager for Mt. Vernon, IA. This role serves farmland owners who do not farm themselves, delivering guidance and personalized education to help clients achieve agricultural investment goals.

You will collaborate with farm managers and real estate professionals to grow a profitable client book, oversee budgets, valuations, and consulting services, and continuously learn to enhance farmland value for future generations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree - required. Agriculture related preferred.
• State real estate license or willingness to obtain it with company support within six months.
• Excellent verbal and written skills; strong commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed communications with clients, prospects, farm operators, vendors and service providers.
• Interact with clients’ concerns and provide flexible, creative solutions for owning their farm.
• Collaborate with farm managers, real estate agents, and appraisers to serve client needs.
• Sustain and grow a profitable book of business including management, real estate transactions, and valuations.
• Develop, implement, and supervise operating plans, land/capital improvements, leasing and cash plans.
