City of Holland is seeking a Market Manager to oversee the Holland Farmers Market. You will manage on-site operations, coordinate vendor stalls, collect payments, ensure policy compliance, and assist customers during market hours.

The role includes supporting food assistance programs, maintaining records, and collaborating with programming/marketing staff to ensure successful events. Office work is required outside market hours, with a focus on vendor relations and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least one year working in a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and accounting skills.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift/push/pull/transport equipment and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site management at the Holland Farmers Market during market hours (Wednesdays and Saturdays) and office work during non-market hours.
• Assign vendor stalls, collect payments, ensure vendor compliance with rules and regulations, set up marketplace, and assist customers.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and vendors and inform them of Market policies and programs.
• Support Market food assistance programs, maintain records, and submit reports by deadlines.
• Recruit and retain vendors to maintain full stall capacity and manage waiting lists.
