Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Sales Consultant to provide knowledgeable sales support across agricultural, power equipment, farm, lawn and garden, tools, and home essentials. You will help customers find the right products while assisting with sales, financing, special orders, and store operations.

You will build customer relationships through excellent service, upsell where appropriate, and collaborate with team members to meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture-related education or certifications preferred.
• Experience in sales, customer service, retail, agricultural, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication, active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to upsell and meet sales goals.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS/inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, applications, preferences, and budget to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Provide product information, explain features and benefits, and conduct demonstrations when needed.
• Build customer relationships through exceptional service, follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to support sales goals and promote store offers and loyalty programs.
• Process sales, special orders, returns, and other transactions using POS and store systems.
