Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Sales Consultant to assist customers with agricultural and household needs, offering expert advice on power equipment, live animals, heating, fencing, and lawn care. You’ll provide friendly service, demonstrate products, and help customers find the right solutions while upselling where appropriate.

The role supports outdoor work in varying weather, requires strong product knowledge, and participates in training and merchandising to drive store success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture knowledge is a plus.
• Proven experience in sales or customer service in retail.
• Deep knowledge and passion for agriculture and home essentials.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results-driven with ability to hit sales targets.
• Experience with POS and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by helping customers find power equipment products.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budget using engagement model.
• Assist with financing and store stock orders.
• Manage ordering of power equipment for stock and special orders.
• Demonstrate products and conduct demonstrations as needed.
• Collaborate with team to meet sales targets.
