Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Sales Consultant to provide knowledgeable sales support across agricultural, power equipment, farm, lawn and garden, tools, and home essentials. You will help customers find the right products, explain features, and support store operations.

Responsibilities include upselling, processing sales and special orders, maintaining floor presentation, and collaborating with teammates. This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture-related education or certifications preferred.
• Previous sales, customer service, retail, agricultural, or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, active listening, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, applications, preferences, and budget to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Provide product information, explain features and benefits, and conduct demonstrations when needed.
• Build customer relationships through exceptional service, follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to support sales goals and promote store offers and loyalty programs.
• Process sales, special orders, returns, and other transactions using POS and store systems.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and support store operations.
• Participate in cross-training and required training to stay current on company policies and procedures.
