Job summary

James River Equipment in New Bern, NC is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team. You will complete customer service authorizations, identify repairs, provide quotes, manage work orders, and communicate timelines to customers.

The role requires exceptional customer service, strong communication with technicians and customers, and proficiency with CDK work orders and Excel. Previous service department experience is highly preferred and the company offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service with ability to handle high volume of customer inquiries in person, by phone and online.
• Excellent follow up and communication with technicians, parts staff, and customers.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and operate CDK or similar work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer service authorizations, identify repairs and provide cost estimates/quotes to customers.
• Ensure the customer has sufficient credit for work authorized and arrange payments as needed.
• Communicate estimated job start time and completion date to the customer and update as necessary; inform of additional service work identified by technicians.
• Assign SPGs/estimated repair times to work order segments, manage service jobs and approve technicians’ reports.
• Invoice the customer including warranty work and review the invoice prior to closing the work order.
