Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 in Los Angeles to help create the best customer experience. You’ll support the store leadership team, train new recruits, and help meet sales targets while sharing your fandom knowledge.

You’ll open and close the store, assist on the sales floor, process transactions, drive add-on sales, and communicate trends to HQ. A high school diploma and at least one year of retail experience are required; pay starts at $18.95 per hour and rises

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Familiarity with store operations and meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience through product knowledge and customer service.
• Cover the sales floor and provide leadership support when needed.
• Open and close the store as required.
• Process sales transactions and drive add-on sales with available benefits.
• Understand store sales plan and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising layout.
• Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ.
• Prevent theft and maintain store security with management guidance.
• Keep stock room organized and store tidy.
• Help develop and retain a collaborative team.
