Job summary

Hot Topic is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 to support the store leadership team in delivering an outstanding customer experience for music and pop culture fans. You will train new recruits, help manage daily operations, and work toward sales targets while advocating for merchandise knowledge and fan energy.

You will cover leadership tasks on the floor, open/close the store as needed, and process transactions, leveraging programs like BOPIS and curbside where available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time and operate store processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that will encourage customers to return.
• Step in and provide leadership support on the sales floor.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process sales transactions and drive add-on sales using store programs.
• Understand store sales plan and KPIs like UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes and merchandising.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management.
• Support stock room organization and store cleanliness.
• Contribute to developing a collaborative, high-energy team.
