Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is required.
• Experience in human services with diverse populations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to diverse audiences.
• Proficient with student information systems, CMS, MS Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and family-centered environment for families enrolling in Lynn Public Schools.
• Greet families and assess their needs, including walk-ins, and ensure the Welcome Center is welcoming and organized.
• Provide direct assistance in person, by phone, and via email, using Language Line when needed.
• Register new students according to district procedures and support families throughout registration.
• Provide families with information about district registration procedures, school policies, student placement, educational programs, and available supports.
• Connect families with community resources related to health care, insurance, benefits, food insecurity, housing, homelessness, immigration concerns, and other basic needs.
• Support newcomer, unaccompanied minor, and economically disadvantaged families in navigating resources and referrals to staff.
• Collaborate with schools and community partners to address family needs and follow up.
• Respond promptly to voicemails and follow up with families as appropriate.
• Manage Welcome Center appointment scheduling and assist families with scheduling.
• De-escalate challenging interactions and maintain a respectful environment.
• Be available for extended hours on Tuesday evenings during enrollment season (June–Sept) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Welcome Center Director.
