Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in New York, NY seeks an experienced facilitator to lead and moderate Family Support group offerings for children, adults and parents, using an evidence-based curriculum.

You will conduct intake sessions, monitor participant progress, provide individual assistance within groups, document services and billing, and collaborate with program leadership to enhance curricula. The role is on-site with opportunities for outreach across the boroughs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead and moderate Family Support group discussions with participants of varying abilities.
• Conduct intake sessions to assess service needs and coordinate supports.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment and monitor progress.
• Document services, attendance and billing in compliant formats and systems.
• Engage with families on-site pre/post sessions regarding progress and concerns.
• Develop, update and enhance program curriculum with leadership using evidence-based practices.
• Complete required trainings within set timeframes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
