Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a Bachelor's degree in any field with two years of related experience as required by Virginia code.
BSW or MSW degrees are desirable for advancement.
Criminal History Background check, Central Registry check, DMV/driving record check and pre-employment drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

Interpret laws, policies and regulations as applied to the area of responsibility.
Monitor, coordinate and administer specific programs as assigned.
Coordinate services within the area of responsibility.
Interview and assess client needs and factors such as education, skills, abilities and support systems.
Inform clients of related service programs rules and rights to participate.
Present cases to determine appropriate services and write service plans.
Provide case management services to monitor compliance and manage waiting lists.
Track expenditures and assist with budget estimates and payments for services.
Coordinate with other agencies and participate in interagency teams.
Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
