Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Caseworker 2 with Fulton County Children and Youth to guide families toward safer and healthier futures. You will support decisions that help children stay safe and connected to stable homes.

In this full-time role, you will handle service plans, coordinate placements, and work with community programs to help families meet their needs. A valid PA driver's license and residency in PA may be required.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1 or equivalent.
• Completion of the County Social Casework Intern program or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree with a social welfare major or related social sciences.
• 12 college credits in sociology/social welfare/psychology and one year of related social casework experience.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in related social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Service Monitoring: Oversee service plans that support the safety and development of children
• Child Placement: Coordinate placement options that promote secure and timely permanence
• Safety Evaluation: Conduct assessments to determine the safety and well-being of children
• Resource Coordination: Team with community programs to assist families in addressing concerns
• Progress Review: Track family progress and adjust services to support ongoing improvement

Education

Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1

Successful completion of County Social Casework Intern program

Bachelor's degree in social welfare or related social sciences

Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience

Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in related social sciences
