Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania – Fulton County Child Welfare Services is seeking an entry-level County Caseworker 1 to respond to reports, investigate concerns, and help families through challenging circumstances under supervision.

You will join a team that provides guidance, training, and opportunities for development, with mandatory on-call duties and a schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday; telework is not available.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or equivalent paraprofessional case management functions.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 college credits in the listed social sciences and one year of paraprofessional case management experience.

Responsibilities

• Report Response: Receive and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect.
• Family Support: Provide in-home case management services with guidance from supervisors.
• Court Participation: Take part in court activities including placement and adoption processes.
• Training Completion: Participate in extensive training on agency rules and child welfare practices.
• Data Entry: Enter case information into the case management system in a timely manner.
• On Call Duties: Join the mandatory on-call rotation with support from agency supervisors.
