Qualifications

• Six months of experience as County Caseworker 1 or successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program.
• Bachelor's degree with a social welfare major or a Bachelor's with 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences with one year of related casework experience.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 12 credits in related social sciences.

Responsibilities

• Investigative Work: conduct interviews, visits and record reviews to assess child safety and determine service needs.
• Family Planning: lead conferencing, prepare families and guide teams in building effective Family Plans.
• Court Preparation: develop reports, petitions and testimony materials for hearings.
• Case Documentation: maintain accurate records in required systems.
