Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Family Service Counselor in Goodyear, AZ to serve families by providing exemplary personal service and supporting cemetery and pre-need arrangements. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or equivalent education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by state/province law.
• Must pass the Company’s internal presentation certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.
• Ability to drive frequently.
• Flexible hours but may work up to 12 hours in a day.
• Empathy and respect in interactions.
• Basic knowledge of computers and some software.

Responsibilities

• Prospect daily for leads and obtain referrals.
• Explain and present offerings to families and referred families.
• Track activity levels to ensure productivity.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner.
• Develop understanding of each family’s needs and offer solutions that provide value.
• Stay in touch with families to ensure satisfaction and follow up on problems and requests.
• Collaborate with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless service.
• Represent a continuous link from services to aftercare and future protection for families.
