Job summary

MemorialCare seeks a dedicated Family Resource Coordinator for the Family Resource Center in Long Beach. This part-time role supports parent-to-parent connections, resource referrals, and coordination of family trainings and events.

You will maintain materials, assist families and professionals with information and referrals, and help develop outreach activities. Strong communication skills and familiarity with California child healthcare resources are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a family member or strong commitment to supporting families of children with special health care needs.
• Knowledge of California health care system and related programs (IFSP, IEP, 504, transition).
• Excellent computer skills in Windows; Word, Excel, PowerPoint; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Family Resource Center including staff scheduling, FRC room schedules, program development.
• Coordinate program activities including Parent-to-Parent support, FRC binder, calendar, and parent trainings.
• Maintain and assess FRC educational materials for accuracy and cultural/linguistic appropriateness.
• Assist families and professionals with information, parent-to-parent support and referrals to community resources.
• Inform families of outreach activities and assist at outreach events as needed.
• Assist with development and implementation of parent trainings, workshops, and support groups.
• Maintains accurate documentation and inventory of FRC educational resources and supplies.
