Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Residential Specialist for the Safe House program at NOSH in Hawaii. This full-time, 40-hour week position reports to the Program Coordinator and is based at the Safe House facility, providing supervision, case management support, and crisis response for adolescent female residents.

Responsibilities include maintaining facility standards, coordinating after-school activities, transporting residents, completing documentation, and collaborating

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• 3 years experience with troubled or at-risk youth or in residential/social service settings.
• Valid Hawaii driver's license.
• TB clearance and pre-employment medical clearance.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• DHS FBI/Criminal History and CAN clearance.
• Authorized driver per Salvation Army standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure upkeep of facility to meet program and licensing standards.
• Schedule group program activities for after school and weekends.
• supervise and monitor residents at all times during shift.
• Complete required daily reports and program files.
• Transport residents to school, jobs, and appointments.
• Maintain resident and program documentation and coordinate with service agencies.
• Provide crisis counseling and support as needed.
• Assist with intake/discharge interviews and orientation of new residents.
