ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Assistant to support the care team at our South Windsor location. You will perform patient intake, phlebotomy, and clinical tasks, documenting interactions in the EHR and assisting with scheduling and referrals.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and adherence to CT scope of practice, with a 40-hour work week and standard hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Completed relevant MA training by any branch of the US armed forces.
• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT).
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• 1+ years MA experience.
• Experience with Epic in a primary care setting.
• Intermediate level computer proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Provide patient care and document clinical interactions in the EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy for patients as needed.
• Collect and record clinical information per protocol before visits.
• Schedule tests and follow‑up visits; assist with disease management referrals.
• Handle patient phone calls and route messages via the EHR.
• Support care team to ensure smooth office operation and excellent service.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional communication with patients and staff.
