Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Medical Assistant for South Windsor Family Practice in Connecticut. You will support patient intake, perform phlebotomy, document in the EHR and help coordinate care within CT scope of practice.

The role is full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the Optum/UnitedHealth Group family.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare training.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR and primary care settings is a plus.
• 2+ years of aide or tech level healthcare experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, clinical summary and direction on next steps.
• Perform phlebotomy for patients as needed.
• Document patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Schedule tests and follow-up visits; coordinate with care team.
• Assist with patient intake and phone communications per protocol.
• Maintain knowledge of coding, OSHA, CLIA regulations and clinic policies.
