Qualifications

• Personal experience as a caregiver of a youth with behavioral health needs.
• HS diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s/Bachelor’s with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of navigating child and family-serving systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to parents and caregivers.
• Help families identify strengths and develop strategies to meet care plan goals.
• Educate families on navigating child-serving systems such as DCF, DMH, education, and behavioral health.
• Empower families by linking them to peer networks and support groups.
• Connect families with both formal and community-based resources.
• Foster a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with care teams and attend family planning meetings.
• Actively engage in supervision and ongoing training.
