Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a Director to join our Private Client Services (PCS) practice. You will lead client engagements, oversee accounting processes, and develop trusted relationships with high net worth clients.

Role focuses on managing teams, ensuring timely financial reporting, and delivering high-quality deliverables with integrity and confidentiality. A CPA and 5+ years in similar settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification strongly preferred and highly valued.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Private Client Services/Family Office/HNW accounting.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple work streams.
• Strong integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and oversee accounting processes including general ledger, journal entries, monthly close, and financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting for specific client families including accounts payable and payment processing.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages and assist in annual tax package preparation.
• Develop and document accounting procedures and control processes.
• Mentor Associates, Senior Associates and Managers and manage workload and deadlines.
• Support business development and client pitches.
