Job summary

Ken Hill Health Center, a nonprofit clinic in Texas, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver compassionate primary care. You’ll perform assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans with ample time and support to do it well.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Join Our Team as an Advanced Practitioner!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our nonprofit medical clinic team. You'll provide high-quality patient care — performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans — with the time and support to do it well.

• Extended appointment times: 30 minutes for established patients, 60 minutes for new patients — giving you real one-on-one time to build lasting relationships with your patients.
• Whole-person care: We treat the whole patient, including the non-medical determinants of health that so often get overlooked elsewhere.
• No insurance headaches: As a free clinic serving uninsured patients, our providers spend zero time on insurance billing, prior authorizations, or claims — just patient care.
• A true team approach: You'll serve as the glue holding patient care together, supporting volunteer providers with refills and patient calls when they're not in clinic.
• More time with patients, less time on paperwork: roughly 70% patient care, 30% charting. We use Athena EMR with Speke for transcription to help keep documentation efficient.
• Flexible scheduling: Part-time or full-time candidates welcome. Monday–Thursday, 8am–5pm, with the last patient appointment ending at 4pm.
• Translation services are available for patient appointments.

• Board certified
• 1–2 years' experience in primary or community care (preferred)
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain
• English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
