Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Clinic – Patient Access Representative to support scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and pre-certification. You will help ensure accurate financial, demographic, and authorization details before patient visits, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient clinic. Experience with EMR systems and basic billing knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
• Collect and reconcile co-pays and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer guidelines and requirements.
• Respond to patient inquiries professionally and timely.
• Manage daily appointment schedules and send reminders to patients.
• Scan and upload documents into the EMR system.
• Review patient charts prior to visits to ensure required documentation is present.
• Provide coverage and support to other front office roles as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
