Job summary

Quincy Medical Group in Hannibal, Missouri seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary care under a collaborative physician and scope of practice. You will conduct physicals, order tests, perform injections and wound care, prescribe medications, and educate patients in home care within an ambulatory setting.

The role offers a full-scope outpatient practice with a 4.5-day work week, no weekends or evenings, and Epic EHR usage.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistant with Master’s Degree.
• Licensed or eligible for Missouri licensure.
• 1+ years experience as practicing APP in primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within scope of practice under collaborative physician.
• Complete physicals and order diagnostic/therapeutic modalities.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients and families.
• Document in patient chart progress notes and orders.
• Maintain Epic EHR documentation.
• Practice in a full-scope outpatient setting with independence within supervision.

Job description

Under the direct supervision of a collaborative physician, physician site leader, and practice manager, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides medical care to patients within a detailed scope of practice. The scope of practice identifies the range of clinical modalities and protocols agreed upon between the NP/PA and collaborative physician. Within the ambulatory care setting, under the collaborative physician and scope of practice, the NP/PA completes physicals; orders diagnostic and therapeutic modalities: e.g., laboratory, x-ray, EKG, etc.; performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and infection management; prescribes medications; instructs and educates patients and their families in proper healthcare, appropriate illness prevention, and home care; and documents in the patient chart progress notes, orders, etc. These aforementioned responsibilities are performed under the scope of practice to optimize clinical outcomes. The NP/PA must be credentialed as a mid-level provider by same Hospital(s) in which the collaborative physician has admitting privileges. This is a primary care opportunity is based in Hannibal, Missouri.

• The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000, depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners OR Physician Assistant-Master’s Degree
