Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team in Hannibal, Missouri. You will provide primary care, perform physicals, order diagnostics, and manage medications in a full outpatient setting.

Work a 4.5 day week with no weekends or evenings, see patients of all ages, and use Epic EHR for documentation. Competitive benefits and CME support are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners OR Physician Assistant-Master’s Degree.
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure in Missouri.
• 1+ years of practice in primary care or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within a detailed scope of practice under collaboration.
• Perform physicals, order diagnostics (labs, imaging, EKG), and treat with procedures as needed.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients and families on care and prevention.
• Document progress notes and orders in the patient chart.

Under the direct supervision of a collaborative physician, physician site leader, and practice manager, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides medical care to patients within a detailed scope of practice.

The scope of practice identifies the range of clinical modalities and protocols agreed upon between the NP/PA and collaborative physician. Within the ambulatory care setting, under the collaborative physician and scope of practice, the NP/PA completes physicals; orders diagnostic and therapeutic modalities: e.g., laboratory, x-ray, EKG, etc.; performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and infection management; prescribes medications; instructs and educates patients and their families in proper healthcare, appropriate illness prevention, and home care; and documents in the patient chart progress notes, orders, etc.

These aforementioned responsibilities are performed under the scope of practice to optimize clinical outcomes.

The NP/PA must be credentialed as a mid-level provider by same Hospital(s) in which the collaborative physician has admitting privileges.

This is a primary care opportunity is based in Hannibal, Missouri.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000, depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved school for Nurse Practitioners OR Physician Assistant-Master’s Degree
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Missouri
• Previous Experience (1+ years as practicing APP) in primary care or similar setting is preferred
