Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin seeks a friendly and compassionate Children’s Ambassador to warmly greet families and set a positive tone on arrival.

You will guide visitors, assist with navigation, transport patients safely, and help maintain a welcoming environment for children of all ages.

This role requires strong communication, conflict management, and the ability to stay calm in busy settings; bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer service experience, including conflict management.
• Understanding of developmental needs across all age groups—from neonatal to adult.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
• CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.”

Responsibilities

• Welcome with warmth and empathy: Actively greet visitors with kindness, compassion, and understanding—recognizing that families may be experiencing stress, worry, or joy.
• Guide with care: Badge and screen guests according to visitation guidelines, then help them navigate the facility with confidence.
• Support families: Determine destinations and transportation needs, offering assistance every step of the way.
• Transport patients safely: Provide internal patient transport that is both secure and engaging.
• Keep us moving: Stock and move wheelchairs, strollers, and carts to ensure accessibility across the facility.
