Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Family Advocate to recruit and enroll children, collaborate with families, and support engagement outcomes. You will work with a team to provide interventions, referrals, and follow-up support to promote child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness.

The role emphasizes partnership with families, community engagement, and coordinating health screenings and resources across home and center settings.

Qualifications

• Associates or Baccalaureate in social work, human services, family services, counseling or related field preferred.
• Must obtain credential/certification within 18 months of hire as required by WCFD.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program in compliance with guidelines set by DHHS and Wyoming Child and Family Development.
• Conduct a minimum of four family visits per year, with two visits in the child's home.
• Foster positive parent-child relationships and connect families to peers and the community.
• Assist participants with resources to improve family well-being and maintain community contacts.
• Understand trauma impact and support health, healing, resilience, and well-being.
• Maintain secure and accurate Family Partnership Goals and health records in ChildPlus.
