Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Family Advocate to recruit and enroll children while engaging with families to assess strengths, needs, and goals related to engagement outcomes.

The role partners with a team to address needs through interventions, referrals, and follow-up support, promoting health, nutrition, school readiness, and community involvement. Travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires engagement with families to assess needs and outcomes.
• Experience coordinating with health, nutrition, and school readiness supports.
• Ability to establish partnerships and goal-setting processes with families.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program following DHHS and WCFD guidelines.
• Conduct four family visits per year, two at the child's home.
• Foster positive parent-child relationships and community connections.
• Assist families with resources to improve well-being and access to services.
• Understand trauma impact and support health, resilience, and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records in ChildPlus and update Family Partnership Goals.
• Organize family engagement activities and parent trainings.
• Support family participation in Parent Group and Policy Council.
• Encourage participation of families in children’s education.
