Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development is seeking a Family Advocate to recruit and enroll children, collaborating with families to assess needs and achieve engagement outcomes through referrals and follow‑up support. The role promotes parent, family, and community engagement within the center, at home, and in the community.

It also provides individualized support in child development, health, nutrition, and school readiness to foster a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associates or Baccalaureate in social work or related field required.
• Credential or certification within 18 months of hire.
• WCFD accepts accredited degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Willing to pursue additional trainings or certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program per guidelines from DHHS and WCFD.
• Conduct a minimum of four family visits per year, including two at the home.
• Foster positive parent-child relationships and connect families to peers and the community.
• Assist families with resources to improve well-being and access to services.
• Maintain accurate records in ChildPlus and track health screenings.
• Organize and facilitate family engagement activities and trainings.
• Support participation in Parent Group and Policy Council.
