Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to empower families through in-home support and guided family meetings. You will work to strengthen family dynamics and build community connections in the home setting.

You will coach parents with children in DCF custody, coordinate with extended family for support, and develop genograms while receiving extensive training and ongoing supervision to balance mission with work‑life harmony.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services or related field.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and background check.
• Own reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families.
• Coach parents to have safe, nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family to explore support and create genograms.
• Collaborate with the Department of Children and Families and work under supervision.
