Job summary

Easterseals Vermont is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to help strengthen families in their homes and work closely with families involved with DCF custody. The role focuses on facilitating family meetings, coaching parents, and connecting extended family support.

The position requires understanding trauma and complex family dynamics, with extensive training and supervision provided. We offer a stable, family-friendly work environment with balanced hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
• Two years of human services experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families in their homes
• Coach parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody
• Support families to meet the needs of their children in the moment
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms
