Join Easterseals Vermont, Inc. as a Family Engagement Specialist to help families through in-home support and guided family meetings. You will coach parents to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in DCF custody and connect extended family members to build supportive networks.

Extensive training and supervision are provided. We seek candidates who understand trauma, substance use disorders, domestic violence, mental health issues and poverty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and background check required.
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance meeting coverage limits.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families.
• Coach parents to ensure safe, nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family members to explore support and create genograms.
