Job summary

Easter Seals Vermont, Inc. is seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to support families in their homes by facilitating meetings and coaching parents of children in DCF custody. You will help families engage extended relatives and build genograms, enhancing the stability and well-being of children.

Extensive training and supervision are provided. The role emphasizes work-life balance in a family-friendly environment with a strong commitment to supporting communities and empowering lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check are required, Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits is required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate family meetings and provide in-home support to strengthen families.
• Coach parents to ensure safe and nurturing time with children in DCF custody.
• Call extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms.
• Collaborate with the Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division and work in our offices.
