Job summary

Allentown School District is seeking a Parent Liaison Facilitator to coordinate parental engagement within pupil personnel services, supporting the Director of Family & Community Engagement and improving student achievement through outreach and effective communication.

The role requires delivering guidance to staff, collaborating with families and community partners, maintaining records, and developing strategies to strengthen home/school connections, with flexible evenings and weekends as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in school/community relations or working with parents and/or students.
• Clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151) satisfactory.
• Flexible schedule including evenings/weekends as determined by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance, training and support to school staff on parent and community engagement strategies.
• Communicates with staff, parents, community and advocates on family engagement issues.
• Promotes high-quality family engagement services.
• Coordinates supports for students and parents entering a new school setting.
• Maintains accurate records of parental and community involvement for safety and communications.
• Facilitates ongoing communications with community, families, staff and the District.
• Communicates the District Code of Conduct and ASD communications protocol to parents/guardians.
• Provides translation services when necessary.
• Supports development of targets and strategies to sustain parental involvement and communication.
