Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background checks including Acts 34, 114, and 151 required.
• TB test and physical exam results acceptable.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; good written and verbal communication; computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit student homes to verify residency and communicate with families.
• Inform parents about school programs and regulations.
• Encourage parental attendance at conferences with school personnel.
• Help parents participate in and support school activities.
• Assist professionals with forms and documentation.
• Maintain contact with Home School Visitor and identify family needs requiring services.
• Keep records and use technology as directed.
• Consult with principals or staff when requested.
• Counsel students as directed by counselor or principal.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
