Job summary

Proviso East High School is seeking a Fall Play Director to organize and supervise the school’s fall drama, ensuring a safe, engaging extracurricular experience in alignment with district policies.

This stipend position reports to the Director of Athletics and Activities and the Building Principal or Designee, demanding leadership, collaboration with students and staff, and strict adherence to IHSA and district guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide active supervision for all club activities, meetings, events, field trips, and practices, ensuring safety and compliance with policies.
• Ensure off-campus activities are approved and that permission slips and transportation are arranged per district procedures.
• As a mandated reporter, comply with training and reporting obligations under Illinois law.
• Prepare students for participation, clearly defining expectations and responsibilities, with constructive feedback.
• Guide students in planning inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the club's mission.
• Coordinate logistics and facility usage with school personnel to ensure well-organized events.
• Use feedback data to inform program decisions and improve club impact.
• Promote student involvement and model positive relationships with students and adults.
• Maintain timely communication with students, staff, and parents regarding operations and events.
• Enforce attendance, behavior, eligibility, and participation policies consistently.
