Job Details: Fresno County - Fresno, CA 93720 | Position Type: Part Time | Education Level: 2 Year Degree | Salary Range: $25.00 - $25.00 Hourly | Job Shift: 1:00PM - 6:00PM | Job Category: Education | Cities served: This application is for CENTRAL UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ONLY

As an Assistant Site Lead, you will work closely with the Site Lead to supervise an afterschool program, support staff and students, and ensure all activities align with program goals and safety standards. Your role involves data entry, reporting, leading activities, and bridging the gap between administration and the classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Coordination of Designated Afterschool Program Site: support the Site Lead in coordinating program activities, collect and prepare program data for review, maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, oversee enrichment and instructional materials, keep classrooms clean, assist with placement of students and staff, train participants on attendance and participation, communicate with students, parents and external agencies, monitor student behavior, enforce behavioral standards and communicate conduct issues to parents and school personnel.
  • Assist with Marketing Program: develop a unique and marketable name for the site; design and develop marketing materials such as flyers, brochures and posters; create and implement incentive programs; disseminate enrollment applications; increase enrollment through creative marketing and advertising within budget; input attendance data into approved CTFF software; maintain records and reports required by State and Federal agencies; monitor and record student activities.
  • Monitor and Observe Classroom: visit classrooms daily to ensure staff engagement, coach and mentor staff, provide flexibility for instructional and enrichment time, observe home and enrichment time, give constructive feedback, review lesson plans, assist in monitoring student placement, address student behavioral and conduct issues professionally.
  • Tutor, Monitor, and Mentor Student Learning: engage in general tutoring duties with CTFF guidelines, tutor individually and in groups, prepare or follow lesson plans, ensure educational objectives are met, submit lesson plans to Teaching Fellows, prepare reports on activities and accomplishments, enforce rules for good behavior, observe and evaluate student performance and well‑being, monitor use of equipment and materials.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: temporarily assume Site Lead duties in absence, attend staff development trainings, provide opinions and suggestions on program decisions, maintain a visible presence, and complete any other duties assigned.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
  • 18 years old or older.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Completion of 48 college units or suitable exam to meet NCLB requirements.
  • Availability to work 1:00PM - 6:00PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Proficiency in English, including spelling, grammar, and composition.
  • General understanding of educational standards and the public school system.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and a Tuberculosis exam.
  • One year of prior management experience or 6 months as a Teaching Fellow.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of college education with an emphasis in education.
  • Strong commitment to community service and youth development.
  • Understanding of the public school system and state educational standards.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate groups and individuals.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of marketing and advertising.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Basic understanding of human resources and budget management.
