LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated substitute teacher to support our LifeWise curriculum. This part-time, non-exempt role requires classroom presence and strong biblical grounding.

You will train, teach as needed, implement prepared lesson plans, maintain a safe learning environment, keep attendance, and coordinate with teachers and volunteers to serve students well. This position offers flexible hours and a faith-centered community focused on student growth.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher
