LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who are active church participants and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires teaching LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis, implementing provided curriculum, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom.

Ideal candidates exemplify a mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs and will participate in ongoing substitute training and collaboration with teachers and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes as needed.
• Implement LifeWise curriculum as provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized, stimulating classroom per LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and class records.
• Keep classroom clean, organized and safe; know emergency procedures.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate effectively with the teacher.
