Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate Biblical knowledge and strong communication. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant, caring and perceptive, with the ability to engage students in a faith-based learning environment.

You will complete substitute training, teach LifeWise classes as needed, implement provided curriculum, maintain a safe classroom, record attendance, and collaborate with teachers and volunteers while representing LifeWise Academy in

Qualifications

• Active personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
